We hope this message finds you and your family well during this trying time. The uncertainty and continuing evolution of our new “normal” has been challenging for all of us, to say the least. As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop, we wanted to take a moment to answer some questions. We also have an important question for you: How can we help?
As you know, per Governor Pritzker’s “Shelter in Place” order, real estate services have been deemed “essential” in Illinois. Therefore, Windy City Home Inspection will continue to perform home inspections. With this being said, we would like to assure you that we are adjusting our process to carefully consider the needs of the community.
What does this mean for you and your clients?
- Our inspectors will be healthy, with no symptoms of any illness when they arrive at the property.
- Windy City is committed to social distancing at all inspections, and the inspector will maintain a safe distance and refrain from shaking hands.
- Inspectors will wear gloves and booties throughout the entire inspection.
- Our goal remains the same – educating potential homeowners on the property they are about to purchase. However, in light of the current situation, we are recommending that only the necessary parties attend the home inspection. We are happy to FaceTime, Skype, or simply call anyone not present at the inspection to review our findings.
- Customer service has always been important to Windy City – now more so than ever. We want to assure you and our clients that we will return to any property as needed to go over anything relating to the inspection report.
- While our supplies last, we will continue to offer a hand sanitizer to those present at the inspection.
We understand that the way you typically run your business is changing as the situation around us necessitates. We want to help, in any way that we can. If there are any other requests that you, a client, or a seller has, please let us know. We are all in this together, and Team Windy City will do everything in our power to make this difficult time a little less trying.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Stay safe, and be well,
Team Windy City
